This has the distinction of being one of the only screenplays Stephen King solely wrote, aside from "Creepshow" (incidentally, the only movie he solely directed was so-bad-its-good "Maximum Overdrive").

The monster itself is a bit of a mixed bag, but it's definitely a fun movie with more than a few memorable sequences. Besides, where else will you see Gary Busey fight a werewolf?
