Received a (possibly targeted) offer (via email and snail mail) on my Barclay's JetBlue Rewards MC (which got auto-converted from AMEX to Barclays):
EARN 5,000 BONUS POINTS
after qualifying purchases with your JetBlue Rewards MasterCard
- Use your JetBlue Rewards MasterCard for purchases anywhere MasterCard is accepted.
- Spend $750 in new purchases each month in May, June and July 2016.
- Get 5,000 bonus points, awarded on your September credit card statement.
The card earns 4 points (per $) on JetBlue purchases, 2 points on restaurant and grocery store purchases, 1 point on everything else. If this is done via MS at say a grocery store, may as well do it in increments of $1,000 (since the "transaction cost" of buying $750 vs. $1000 should be the same). Doing it that way, you should end up w/ 6000 points from the $1000/mo grocery purchases (in May, June, and July) plus 5000 bonus points earned September, or 11,000+ points total.
