I had the 3-month free deal till the end of March, and it said I would be charged $4.99 beginning March 29th.

Spotify offers students a Spotify Premium 1-Year Subscriptio nfor $4.99 per month. You must be attending a post-secondary school that qualifies for federal aid to receive the special rate. Your subscription can be renewed three times at this discounted price.

Found that if you just know of a friend, relative etc. that is attending college it works.
On the last page after credit card, it allows you to "change" the 4 fields below.
The company does verify (in seconds) that the person you entered is enrolled using the 4 fields below.
First Name
Last Name
School Name
Birth Date
