A few days ago while browsing on Ama zon, I clicked the "Your Prime" drop down menu on the top tool bar. Up popped an announcement about Prime memberships now including exclusive coupons only for Prime members (aka "Prime Exclusive Coupons: additional savings with coupons just for Prime members").

Curious, I clicked the link and was taken to the main coupon page that looked exactly the same in terms of all of the usual coupon categories and filters, except there was a banner at the top stating "Exclusive Coupons for Prime Members" and the first coupon category now read "Exclusive Prime Member Coupons." There were about a dozen Prime only coupons, but half of them were for a limited number of the currently available Prime Pantry coupons (which are useless to me).

I figured I'd check back periodically to see if any better coupons were posted and discovered two things. 1) the pop up announcement has never reappeared under the "Your Prime" drop down menu no matter how often I tried. 2) There appears to be no way to navigate to the Prime Exclusive coupons on your own... all you get are the usual coupon categories.

Today there are only 3 coupons listed from the previous list, and none of them are Pantry items. It seems that Ama zon announced this before it was ready for prime time (see what I did there?). However, I figured it was worth posting if other Prime members missed this and are interested in bookmarking the link to check for new coupons from time to time. Hopefully Ama zon will both include more and better coupons (excluding the Pantry coupons that are listed elsewhere), and make the Prime Exclusive coupons appear automatically for Prime members when they access any coupon pages without needing a special link.

Now if they would only have a promotion page compiling all items eligible for ultra secretive "Prime Savings" that only appear at checkout, and do not appear under search results or on the product pages ( a recent examples being Photoshop Elements 14). Recently, I also saw a post for a Gerber Machete and posted a Lodge Melting Pot deal that at least said "Exclusively for Prime Members" on the product page when viewed from a non-Prime account, but for Prime members there was no such notification, just the sales price (i.e., they wouldn't know it was a membership perk). They really need to improve their transparency, consistency, and user-friendliness all around for Prime exclusives if the want members to actually purchase these deals and non-members to be enticed to join to benefit from them. /end rant
